Currently, I am not taking any new clients. Contact me to get references to other great doulas in the Phoenix area!!
I approach birthing and breastfeeding from a place of acceptance, not telling women what they "should" or "shouldn't" do.Rather, I listen to the needs of the mother and baby, so we may together find a comfortable plan that feels right. None of us are alike. Each mother and baby are individuals with unique circumstances, and they ought to be treated with consideration for their specific situation as well as with respect for their religious and cultural beliefs. My mission is to help make possible a gentle transition from being pregnant to becoming a breastfeeding mother.
My name is Trine Bradshaw. I am an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and have received doula training, and certification, through DONA.
Born in Denmark, I moved to the United States in 1997. After the birth of my son in 2003, I started training in the lactation field. I was accredited by the International non-profit organization La Leche League in 2006, where I have been working to promote mother-to-mother breastfeeding support.
In 2008, I was awarded the designation Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. I still wanted more knowledge and training, so this year, in 2009, I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
After the birth of my daughter in 2006, my interest in pregnancy and birthing led to my working towards become a doula. I have attended professional training, and am certified through the organization DONA.
I live in Mesa AZ with my husband and two children.
